FACT: You Can Learn To Sing

Singing is a muscular activity.  And like any other athletic activity, you can train and improve with guidance and time. When you understand how the voice works, you can begin to troubleshoot on your own, design your own sound, and master your voice.

Your Instructors

From classical singers, contemporary songwriters, breathwork practitioners, big-band crooners, a cappella directors, choir members, elementary school teachers, barbershop quartets, and more…

While we all have our strengths and approaches, we are all grounded in the latest in voice science and pedagogy.

So, hearing about the same topic from different perspectives gives you a more robust understanding, and helps you truly master your voice.

Want to learn how to sing, but don’t know where to start?

Let us help! We can chat about your situation and your options, from free YouTube videos to 1:1 lessons and everything in between.

How do the group lessons work?

Like a virtual yoga class, the coach will explain the exercise, and demonstrate proper form for you to follow along.

Each lesson is centered on a specific aspect of singing, and topics are frequently revisited to reinforce learning.

While you might find some exercises challenging at the beginning, in a few weeks, you’ll be following along with no problem.

And if you’re still stuck, you’re always welcome to ask questions in the group chat for our coach to answer live, or reach out on the Discord for 1:1 help.

Do virtual lessons really work?

Yes, they do.

There are some methods of instruction which involve physical manipulation, but usually, there is no physical touch involved.

And while it’s true that video conference platforms filter sound, it rarely detracts from our ability to diagnose vocal issues.

That’s why the most in-demand coaches have been teaching online since even before the pandemic! Singers at a high level might not find top instructors in their area.

Will I have to sing in front of anyone?

No, you will not have to sing in front of others if you don’t want to!

While we encourage you to keep your camera on, and will occasionally ask people to demonstrate while clarifying a question, we have members who keep their cameras off.

We do have events such as open mic events, but those are strictly opt-in. You’re still invited to participate and absorb as an audience member!
